These directions may help you whether you drive or take public transportation to The Inn.
From any direction you come, it’s good to know that The Inn is in the first block west of Figueroa, in what is called the Downtown area, or North University Park. A landmark which most people know is the Auto Club headquarters on Adams Boulevard, which is one block to the south. The Inn is only a few blocks north of USC and a few blocks south of the convention center. Take any shuttle going Downtown; but be sure the shuttle is going first to downtown and not to Beverly Hills, Culver City, Pasadena, or any place else. If you use a taxi, make sure the fare is about $57.00. For two people or more.
Suggestion: As The Inn has no big commercial signs, give your driver the address only, not mentioning that you are going to a “hotel,” as drivers often speed past, looking for big signs while ignoring street numbers.
Warning: Beware of directions from the web as some leave out critical turns.
Best directions from LAX:
Ask your car rental people for directions to the 105. Take the 105 East to the 110, which you will take north (towards Los Angeles). Exit at Adams. Turn left onto Adams, go two blocks, and at Figueroa turn right. One long block to Twenty-Third Street, where you will turn left. The Inn is four buildings on your right. Park at 657, close to and parallel to the cinder block wall.
Synopsis:
105 east to 110 (about 7 miles)
110 (Harbor Freeway) north (about 7 miles)
Exit at Adams Boulevard, left
Figueroa Street, right
Twenty-Third Street, left

When you arrive at 657:
1. The Inn consists of two buildings: The original is 657 West Twenty-Third Street. It is four buildings west of Figueroa Street and is where you park, parallel to the block wall. If the driveway gate is closed, it is not locked and you can open it, even though sometimes it is a little stubborn.
